It’s being six months since President Muhammad Buhari emerged president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The president and his team in the last six months have been doing everything humanly possible to justify the CHANGE, this can be notably seen in the renewed fight against the dreaded Boko Haram sect, improved international image for the country to encourage foreign investors, unbiased fight against corruption amongst others. Well-meaning and good governance starved Nigerians whose waggling tongues for “CHANGE” have high hopes and expectations about the PMB led administration. With the newly inaugurated ministers, people’s expectations are at the peak.
Omolola Oguntade is one of those who believe in the change evolution and definitely expectant of the Buhari led administration. You will recall Omolola, the 22 years old ardent Buhari supporter who indefatigably preached CHANGE before and during the elections that saw Buhari emerging the President. She was one of the major youth volunteers/supporters of President Buhari during the last general elections. Omolola was actively involved in series of campaign, rallies and frequent education of the voting public on the streets of Lagos to demonstrate her passion and desire for Change. Now that the change is here, Lola like any other concerned Nigerian, have some expectations that will bring about a “New and better” Nigeria. Below is what Omolola Oguntade has to say:

“My personal vision is a Nigeria where the future of every Nigerian youth is guaranteed” My greatest expectation from the Buhari led administration is youth empowerment and Job creation for graduates. The era of graduation without jobs should be history. You will recall during the last elections that PMB had a lot of youth volunteers who tirelessly preached CHANGE which greatly contributed to PMB’s success at the polls. I will like to categorically tell you, the better percentage of those youths are without jobs patiently waiting for the PMB led administration to eradicate joblessness to the barest minimum. I want the present government to include job creation and youth empowerment into the list of things that require immediate urgency. I know the president is not a magician but failure isn’t also not an option. All policies and strategies should better the lives of average Nigerians and now that the ministers have been sworn in, it is hoped that the ministers will assist the president actualize all promises made during the campaigns.  May God Almighty help the whole cabinet in fulfilling their promises to Nigerians.

What are your own expectations?
